Job description

About This Role

The Sales Development Representative (SDR), Data Sales is the frontline driver of pipeline for Crexi Intelligence, our market data and analytics product for commercial real estate professionals. Working in a high-velocity outbound environment, the SDR identifies, engages, and qualifies prospective buyers - including investors, developers, appraisers, assessors, lenders, and retailers - and hands off sales-ready opportunities to Account Executives. Success in this role is measured by consistent attainment of outbound activity targets, qualified meetings booked, and pipeline contribution. The SDR is a self-starter who thrives on cold calls, learns the CRE market quickly, and continuously refines outreach to sharpen the top of the funnel.

What You'll Do:

  • Execute high-volume outbound prospecting via cold calling, email, and social outreach to identify and engage commercial real estate professionals who fit the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) for Crexi Intelligence.
  • Research and qualify prospects using available market intelligence, firmographic data, and CRM tools to prioritize outreach toward the highest-propensity accounts.
  • Schedule and coordinate discovery calls and product demonstrations between qualified prospects and Account Executives.
  • Initiate and nurture early-stage pipeline by delivering a compelling and accurate introduction to the Crexi Intelligence value proposition tailored to each buyer's use case.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date pipeline records and activity logs in Salesforce, treating CRM hygiene as a core professional discipline.
  • Leverage tools such as Outreach, ZoomInfo, RingCentral, and Jira to manage outbound workflows, track touchpoints, and increase throughput and personalization.
  • Utilize AI-assisted tools (e.g., for prospect research, call preparation, and email drafting) to increase outbound efficiency and improve message relevance.
  • Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of the Crexi Intelligence product, the CRE data landscape, and the analytical workflows of our key buyer personas.
  • Share market and prospect feedback with Account Executives and the product team to help refine targeting and positioning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience in a sales organization.
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding lead targets.
  • Commercial Real Estate background or work experience (preferred, not required).
  • Proficiency with Salesforce preferred.
  • Cold-calling experience is a must.

Who You Are:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage executives and decision-makers confidently in an outbound sales environment.
  • Strong sales drive and goal orientation, with a track record of consistently meeting or exceeding outbound activity and pipeline targets.
  • Working knowledge of the commercial real estate demand audience - investors, developers, appraisers, assessors, lenders, and retailers - and how each uses data to make decisions.
  • Disciplined approach to pipeline management and CRM hygiene; treats Salesforce data as a source of truth, not an afterthought.
  • Comfort using AI-assisted tools (e.g., for prospect research, call prep, and email drafting) to increase outbound throughput and personalization.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and sales engagement platforms such as Outreach (or comparable tools).
  • Positive, team-centric attitude with curiosity and adaptability to a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment.
  • Creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills; willing to receive constructive feedback and apply it to improve.
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with colleagues at all levels in an open, fast-paced sales environment.

Why Crexi?

  • Real impact, fast. Join a rapidly scaling startup where your work moves the needle from day one.
  • Real ownership. Equity in Crexi's growth story.
  • Built for growth. A flexible team structure designed for real career discretion.
  • Time that is yours. Discretionary PTO - take what you need, when you need it.
  • Health & Future covered. Medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), FSA/HSA options, and Life & AD&D insurance.
  • Set up right. Home-office reimbursement for remote employees.
  • A winning team. A collaborative culture with team activities that bring people together.

The anticipated base salary range is $65,000 to $75,000 a year with eligibility for generous commissions, equity, and healthcare insurance. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, the type and length of experience applicable to the role and within the industry within the industry, education, geographic location, etc. Commercial Real Estate Exchange, Inc ("Crexi") is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
