Job Summary
TABER, the leading manufacturer of custom millwork, metalwork, and upholstery in Orange County, is seeking a Bid Coordinator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the architectural millwork industry, possess strong analytical, be a self-starter, have strong problem-solving skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. You will be responsible for initial bid creation for custom millwork projects.


Your projects will be amongst some of the largest and most preeminent ones in Southern California, and you will be working with many of the biggest contractors and sophisticated owners and architects.

We have a strong Estimating Department and we are looking to expand. We are willing to train and mentor anyone qualified for the position.


Job Overview

  • Review bid documents to understand scope, requirements, and submission criteria
  • Coordinate with estimating, preconstruction, operations, marketing, and leadership teams to gather required information
  • Manage bid timelines, internal deadlines, and final submissions
  • Maintain and update proposal templates, resumes, project sheets, and boilerplate content
  • Collaborate with estimators to ensure all proposals are professionally formatted, on-brand, and submitted on time
  • Request and follow up with subcontractor pricing
  • Reach out to vendors for material cost and lead time

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight or shifting deadlines
  • Proficiency in standard office and document software (Word, PDF tools, spreadsheets, etc.)
  • Experience in construction, architecture, engineering, or related industries preferred
  • Familiarity with RFP/RFQ processes and proposal coordination a plus
