Job Description
The Director of Facilities provides strategic and operational leadership for facilities, plant operations, safety, and security across the South Region, including hospitals in Cadillac, Manistee, and Frankfort, as well as clinics in the surrounding communities, ensuring a safe, compliant, and efficient physical environment.
Your Leadership in Action
Facilities & Plant Operations
  • Provides leadership and operational oversight for Facilities, Plant Operations, power plant operations, grounds, utilities, and contracted services to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Budget & Resource Management
  • Develops and manages operating and capital budgets; monitors financial performance and ensures compliance with approved targets and organizational priorities.

Regulatory Compliance & Life Safety
  • Ensures compliance with TJC, CMS, Environment of Care, OSHA/MIOSHA, NFPA, EPA, ADA, and other applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.

Safety, Security & Emergency Preparedness
  • Leads facilities-related safety and security programs and actively participates in emergency preparedness, HICS activation, disaster planning, and internal and external safety committees.

Quality & Integration
  • Drives preventive maintenance, quality improvement initiatives, customer satisfaction outcomes, and integration of additional Munson properties into Plant Engineering systems.

Qualifications
What's Required
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, facilities management, business, or commercial real estate; or
  • Associate's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or electromechanical engineering technology with eight (8) years of progressively responsible facilities maintenance experience in commercial, industrial, or healthcare environments.

Knowledge & Skills
  • Working knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and related plant systems.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare facilities regulations governing plant operations.
