Job Description:

Senior facilities operations leader needed to oversee a full integrated facilities management program across eight school district buildings. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence across maintenance, custodial, grounds, and renovation activities while maintaining strong client partnership, financial discipline, and day-to-day service reliability. It is a strong fit for a hands-on leader who can manage a complex district environment, stay ahead of reporting and planning needs, and work effectively with senior stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead full integrated facilities management operations across eight district buildings, ensuring excellence in maintenance, custodial, and grounds services
  • Manage team performance, accountability, engagement, hiring, training, and supervision
  • Serve as the primary liaison to senior district leadership, providing proactive communication, transparent reporting, and strong client relationship management
  • Oversee district-wide renovation and construction projects, acting as the owner’s representative while coordinating contractors and vendors
  • Manage the P&L budget to support financial performance, operational efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals
  • Direct preventative maintenance and reactive repair across skilled trades including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and utilities
  • Maintain a safe and efficient working environment that supports consistent operational performance
  • Support other operational services and logistics as needed, including grounds and related business operations services

MUST HAVES:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience
  • Minimum 5 years of functional facilities operations experience
  • Strong project management experience leading renovation and construction projects as the owner’s representative while coordinating contractors and vendors
  • Strong client relationship management experience working with senior district leadership and key stakeholders
  • Extensive experience in facilities maintenance, custodial operations, and grounds operations, including synthetic turf maintenance
  • Ability to lead with adaptability, emotional intelligence, and proactive problem-solving across diverse teams and personalities

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role directs facilities maintenance operations for building and property services at a single unit, including preventative maintenance and reactive repair programs across skilled trades. The position also supports safe operations, staff leadership, construction oversight, and operational coordination across a broad facilities scope.

WORK MODEL:

Onsite daytime management role based in Vincennes, Indiana, with occasional nights and weekends depending on business needs.

PAY: $101,000 - $110,000 Annually
