We are seeking a Property Specialist to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Support the Site Lead through Property Management requirements and logistics requirements. Area of responsibility is Huntsville, Alabama.
  • Assist with materials management, data entry, physical inventory, transportation of IT equipment, and customer support operations for property management.
  • Assist with all types of equipment inventories to include management of assets allocated for special projects, relocating, and excessing equipment
  • Accomplish records reviews, updates, barcoding, discrepancy reporting, and data integrity.
  • Assist with records and database management to Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB).

The successful candidate will:
  • Have strong data skills and understanding of our ability to learn requirements as outlined in specific regulations and processes.

What You Bring
Basic Requirements:
  • Must have 2, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience
    • May be reduced with completion of advanced education
  • Must have 6, or more, months of directly related experience
  • Must be able to lift up to 40-100 lbs., stand for extended periods and stoop/reach to move boxes and retrieve property.
  • Must have data entry skills with the ability to create, update or correct data at a high level with a high number of records corrected or created per day.
    • Attention to detail a must with the added ability to perform database and internet research.
  • Must be able to operate material handling equipment
  • Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:
  • Have a working knowledge of Unique Item Identification (UID), 252.211-7003 and 252.211-7007.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Have strong attention to detail with an emphasis on data mining, data review, relational database operations and all FAR data requirements.
  • Have an operational understanding of applicable FAR/DFARS and DOD (DODI) directives pertaining to the management of Government property in the possession of contractors.
  • Have an understanding of MDA initiatives, Enterprise operations and DLA Disposal Services methods.
  • Be familiar with DTID, DLIS Forms and 1348-* a plus
