As a Property Maintenance position at Horizon, you will…

  • Perform general repairs including plumbing, electrical, floor covering, painting and seasonal needs.
  • Troubleshoot all building systems to proactively maintain building operations.
  • Coordinate with vendor and subcontractors
  • Complete all appropriate paperwork.
  • Take direction from the Property Manager on issues concerning property management and maintenance. Manages productivity and daily job responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning, repairing, maintaining, constructing, renovating, demolishing, and moving building systems as needed. Ensures that building meets all appropriate compliance.
  • Perform universal precautions and uses personal protective equipment, follows all OSHA, DOH and building regulations.
  • Perform regulatory building audits, inspections, maintains reports and tracking systems to provide a safe and healthy environment for all clients and staff.
  • Manage a preventative maintenance program for building systems.
  • Provide oversight of all exterior property conditions
  • Additional duties may be required, but are not limited to the following: renovation projects including alterations of walls, carpentry, drywall, electrical, doors, ceilings, plumbing, floor covering and paint
  • Communicate effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Navigate and utilize computer-based work order system.

  • Previous maintenance experience required.
    • Open to specialties including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, patch work, HVAC, home repairs, etc.
    • Experience in cleaning, repairing, maintaining, constructing, renovating, demolishing, and moving building systems.
  • A clean, valid, NYS driver’s license, three years of driving experience, and reliable transportation to travel locally on a regular basis.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Location

This position is location at 55 Dodge Rd, Getzville NY. May have to travel to other Horizon locations as needed.

Position Hours

Full time, Monday through Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pm.

Compensation

Horizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. The range of pay for this position is $19.33 - $20.84. Starting pay may be impacted based on experience and education. Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually.

Physical demands associated with this position include:

  • Stationary posture, alternating between standing and sitting
  • Ascending/descending on various structures (e.g. ladders)
  • Local travel between worksites
  • Operating machinery/power tools and occasional operation of company owned motor vehicles and heavy equipment
  • Lifting objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds
  • Exposure to various environmental conditions including low/high temperatures, and outdoor elements
