Pay: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

To be considered, candidates must have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years of commercial real estate or property accounting experience and 2+ years of supervisory experience.

Job Description

  • Manage accounting, financial analysis, and reporting activities for a portfolio of real estate entities and assets.
  • Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closes are accurate, timely, and professionally prepared.
  • Review and approve financial workpapers, bank reconciliations, escalation billings, budgets, analyses, and GAAP reporting.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of property accountants and support their professional development.
  • Partner closely with property management, leasing, construction, asset management, and other internal teams.
  • Play a key role in the annual budgeting process and monthly financial reporting for senior management.
  • Help enforce internal controls, identify process or procedural gaps, and implement effective improvements.
  • Support and improve the use of property management and accounting systems, including Yardi and MRI.
  • Provide hands-on accounting support during periods of high volume, deadlines, team transitions, or employee absences.
  • Lead special projects and contribute to department-wide initiatives and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • 2+ years of commercial real estate or property accounting experience.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Experience with monthly close, budgeting, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Yardi and MRI experience is preferred.
  • CPA is preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
