LPG Service Technician

Location: Wilco Mount Angel, OR Facility

Do you have a background in plumbing, electrical, or mechanical work? Ready to take your skills on the road and work hands-on with customers? This may be the job for you!

We're seeking a skilled and safety-conscious LPG Service Technician to join our team. You'll install and maintain propane tanks, systems, and equipment, as well as assist with fuel deliveries and customer support.


Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain bulk storage tanks, gas piping systems, regulators, and meters.
  • Deliver, repair, and install propane appliances and equipment.
  • Conduct site surveys and safety checks, including pressure tests and gas checks.
  • Accurately complete all job-related paperwork and documentation.
  • Safely operate company vehicles and maintain assigned tools and equipment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure safe, proper placement of equipment.
  • Assist with refined fuels equipment and tank movement as needed.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation (nights, weekends, holidays).
  • Communicate regularly with the Energy Manager and support additional tasks as assigned.

QualificationsRequired:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an LPG Service Technician or related trade.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Clean driving record and valid Class A or B CDL with HazMat endorsement, or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Basic computer proficiency and accurate documentation skills.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
Preferred:
  • Familiarity with propane systems, fuel storage tanks, and monitoring devices.
  • Understanding of the fuel, oil, and lube industry.

Physical & Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and often in dirty environments.
  • Approximately 90% fieldwork, 10% office or paperwork-related tasks.
