Overview

UX II Product Designer

Medical Solutions creates software that supports every aspect of a healthcare clinician's career-and the hospitals that employ them-by reducing friction, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing healthcare outcomes.

The Product & Innovation team is made up of research analysts, product managers, designers, developers, and QA engineers who turn bold ideas into impactful products.

We're looking for a User Experience Designer to help create products and services used by thousands. In this role, you'll lead the design and experience methodologies that drive how we develop new solutions. You'll work across multiple projects at varying stages of the development cycle, with fluid requirements and an agile mindset. We're seeking someone energized by the challenge of building disruptive solutions for the healthcare staffing industry.

Responsibilities

Design Execution & Ownership

  • Design user-centered solutions for web and mobile applications, from concept through implementation.
  • Translate product requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI designs.
  • Balance visual design, interaction design, and usability to deliver clear, functional, and accessible experiences.
  • Contribute to and follow established design systems and accessibility standards.

Collaboration & Feedback

  • Partner with product and development teams to understand requirements, align on outcomes, and ensure implementation fidelity.
  • Actively participate in design critiques, giving and receiving feedback to continuously improve the work.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on solutions throughout the product lifecycle.

Process & Growth

  • Contribute to UX research efforts by assisting with usability testing, synthesizing findings, and applying insights to your designs.
  • Collaborate within Figma and other tools to ensure design files are dev-ready and annotated clearly.
  • Begin to identify areas for process improvement and efficiency within your workstream.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and initiative by learning from senior designers and asking thoughtful questions.
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of UX/UI design experience in a collaborative product team environment.
  • Proficiency in Figma and experience with tools such as Miro, Adobe Creative Suite, or prototyping tools.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, responsive design, and interaction patterns.
  • Basic understanding of accessibility (ADA, WCAG) and how to apply inclusive design practices.
  • Experience creating wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity UI designs.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize work, and communicate project status.

Mindset & Approach

  • Open to feedback and eager to learn and grow within a fast-paced, cross-functional team.
  • Proactive collaborator who works well with product managers, developers, and peers.
  • Naturally curious and interested in understanding user needs, industry trends, and design best practices.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and asking the right questions to clarify expectations.

Preferences

  • Experience with healthcare, staffing, or enterprise SaaS products is a plus.
  • Familiarity with front-end basics (HTML/CSS) is a bonus, but not required.
  • Interest or experience in rapid prototyping workflows using AI-assisted or prompt-based tools to explore concepts, validate ideas, and accelerate collaboration is preferred.
