Job description

Job Purpose:

The primary responsibilities include providing exceptional guest service while supporting Theatre events, promotional giveaways, community outreach and co-op sponsorships.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)

  1. Provide friendly guest service while promoting entertainment options and assisting guests with purchase decisions.
  2. Maintain a thorough understanding of show schedule, production details, and ticketing prices.
  3. Maintain a Box Office cash bank.
  4. Follow proper cash handling procedures and reconcile daily transactions.
  5. Maintain a clean and safe Box Office environment at all times.
  6. Assist with night of show ticket issuance and redemptions.
  7. Assists with venue logistics before and after events.
  8. Assist with ushering venue guests to assigned seats.
  9. Assist with incoming and outgoing guest calls.
  10. Maintain a professional and pleasant department image by consistently communicating and presenting information in a professional manner to internal and external guests.
  11. Promote Club Sycuan membership to guests with thorough knowledge of guidelines and benefits.
  12. Create new Club Sycuan membership accounts and Club Sycuan membership card reprints.
  13. Ascertain and resolve guest concerns, requests, and /or complaints in a timely, courteous and informed manner.
  14. Collect complete and accurate data from guests while processing transactions.
  15. Provide friendly guest service while promoting Sycuan Casino Resort at off property sponsored events.
  16. Distribute promotional merchandise as directed.
  17. Other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications:

Education and Experience:

Essential:

  • 1 year of guest service experience
  • Cash handling experience

Desirable:

  • Hospitality experience
  • Ticket sales and/or box office experience
  • High School Diploma, High School Certificate of Completion, or G.E.D.

Skills and Knowledge:

Essential:

  • Ability to interact effectively with team members and guests
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks and assignments
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions
  • Knowledge of Windows operating system
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Ability to appear for work on time
  • Ability to complete forms and documents
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to eight hours at a time
