Position Summary
Provides administrative and research support for export promotion activities related to food, agriculture, fisheries, and other industries in the U.S. Supports research, information gathering, coordination, and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support export promotion activities for food and agricultural products (trade consultations, events, etc.)
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Schedule appointments and attend meetings (including virtual meetings)
  • Assist with market, regulatory, distribution, and industry research in the U.S.
  • Collect and summarize information related to Japanese food and agricultural products
  • Support export promotion activities for other industries (e.g., life sciences)
  • Perform general administrative duties

Requirements
  • Strong written Japanese skills; able to read, communicate, and conduct interviews or phone calls in English
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Excel skills include calculations and chart creation
  • Technical or science background not required
  • Willingness to travel domestically within the U.S. (primarily East Coast cities)
  • Strong interest in food-related industries (food, beverages, food service, etc.) preferred
