Position Summary

The Project Superintendent serves as the primary field leader responsible for directing day-to-day construction activities and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with project requirements. This role requires strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills while maintaining a commitment to quality craftsmanship and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will effectively coordinate subcontractors, field personnel, clients, and Project Managers while maintaining a safe, productive, and professional jobsite environment. This position requires travel, as Springfield Builders performs work throughout a 21-state region.

Key Responsibilities

โ€ข Direct and oversee daily field construction operations from project start through completion

โ€ข Coordinate and schedule field employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and material deliveries

โ€ข Maintain project schedules and communicate progress to Project Managers and company leadership

โ€ข Promote and enforce job site safety for employees, subcontractors, and visitors

โ€ข Ensure work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards

โ€ข Read, interpret, and implement construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents

โ€ข Perform refined carpentry and miscellaneous installations as required as a working Superintendent

โ€ข Coordinate temporary construction measures and site logistics

โ€ข Maintain organized, clean, and professional jobsites

โ€ข Monitor field productivity and assist in controlling project costs

โ€ข Identify and solve daily construction challenges while minimizing project disruptions

Qualifications

โ€ข Minimum of five (5) years of commercial construction Superintendent experience preferred

โ€ข Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions

โ€ข Strong verbal and written communication skills

โ€ข Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

โ€ข Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments for extended periods of time
