Job description

Eichleay is seeking a Project Controls Scheduler to support small and mid-size capital projects within a larger program environment. This is a high-visibility role for someone who enjoys turning complex project information into clear schedules, early risk signals, and practical recovery plans.

If you are the person project teams rely on to bring structure, foresight, and accountability to execution, this role gives you the opportunity to be a key scheduling partner to project managers, clients, procurement teams, subcontractors, and engineering stakeholders.

Compensation: $103,000 - $130,000 *Anticipated annual salary may vary based on skills, experience, qualifications, and internal peer equity. The pay range listed for this position is based on the anticipated base compensation at the time of the posting.

Benefits: This is a full-time position which offers competitive compensation and benefits package with a 401K match.

Work Arrangement: 3 days onsite in Ferndale, WA, 2 days remote *option to work from home Monday and Friday. Every other Friday off.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain fully resourced, logic-linked project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Coordinate Interactive Planning (IAP) sessions to establish baseline schedules.
  • Monitor project progress, report milestones, and analyze schedule performance against baselines.
  • Identify and communicate critical path risks, providing early warnings and recovery plans.
  • Prepare KPI reports, S-curves, and histograms for management.
  • Lead schedule risk analysis workshops and ensure adherence to client standards.
  • Act as the focal point for project managers, clients, subcontractors, and procurement teams for scheduling.
  • Support change management processes and ensure compliance with client-specific guidelines.
  • Host project controls meetings covering schedule and progress.
  • Capture lessons learned and promote continuous improvement.

    Job Requirements:

    • Experience: Minimum 8+ years in scheduling and/or cost controls
    • Experience: Minimum 3+ years supporting engineering projects in oil and gas industry.
      • Skills:
        • Scheduling: Proficiency in Primavera P6.
        • Strong knowledge of engineering deliverables, procurement, permitting, construction, commissioning, and stage-gate approvals.
        • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills with ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
      • Travel: Travel to local clients will be required and can be at least one day per week for meetings. Travel outside the area is expected to be minimal, less than 10%
      • Industry Requirements: This role will require all or some of the following requirements at time of hire or during employment
        • HHFT Safety Training and current card or ability to obtain.
        • Client Safety Training and current badge or ability to obtain.
        • TWIC Certification and current card or ability to obtain. TWIC card must be obtained prior to start date or start date may need to be adjusted.
        • Background screening including previous employment, education, criminal history, and driving record verification.
        • Participation in random drug and alcohol programs.

      Preferred Requirements

      • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (PSP, PMP, AACEi) preferred.
      • Experience: Working in a senior or lead scheduling position supporting engineering projects.
