Senior Project Manager โ€“ Building Architecture Design and Construction

On Site Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead architectural projects from concept through construction while building trusted client relationships and driving business success. This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and a commitment to design excellence.

  • Build and maintain client trust through responsiveness, clear communication, and delivery on commitments
  • Represent PM Design with professionalism, integrity, and adherence to the companyโ€™s values, ethics, and standards
  • Lead projects with a structured, organized, and resultsโ€driven approach
  • Manage project schedules with realistic milestones and proactive reporting
  • Ensure project profitability
  • Meet or exceed QA/QC quality standards, reducing project risk
  • Support business development efforts, including pursuing new work and expanding services with existing clients
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project teams through feedback, training, and recognition
  • Continuously expand technical and leadership knowledge through professional development

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

  • Serve as the primary client contact, defining scope, objectives, and expectations
  • Lead proposal development, including scope, fees, QA/QC, and client presentations
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules and deliverables
  • Lead project kickโ€off meetings and coordinate internal and external teams
  • Oversee design development, entitlement, permitting, and approvals
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource forecasts, taking corrective action as needed
  • Ensure compliance with PMDI standards, CAD requirements, and documentation protocols
  • Review construction documents and consultant coordination
  • Guide teams through building code compliance, specifications, and lifeโ€safety requirements
  • Oversee QA/QC reviews and ensure resolution of all comments
  • Lead construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, site visits, and punch lists


Client & Team Engagement

  • Maintain proactive, professional client communication
  • Lead or participate in project and company meetings
  • Mentor team members and support career growth
  • Act as a technical and professional resource for PM Design staff


Business Development

  • Support marketing and business development initiatives
  • Expand relationships with existing clients and identify new opportunities
  • Represent PM Design Inc. as a trusted industry partner

Requirements

  • Architectural Degree, License preferred but not required
  • 7-10 years of experience as a Senior Architectural Professional
  • Proficient and knowledgeable in REVIT and AutoCAD
  • Commercial , retail , restaurant , grocery store experience preferred
  • Team management experience required ( Coaching, mentoring and training)
