Position Description:

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Project Quality Manager is responsible for managing a dynamic integrated management program covering the engineering and design, right-of-way, and construction phases of projects in addition to supporting corporate assignments as directed.


Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for auditing all facets of corporate support services, engineering and design including construction activities such as pipeline, pump station, marine terminal, meter station and storage tank design against established workflow processes, plans and procedures. Manage closure of all non-conformances and corrective action.
  • Develop and maintain project quality management plan, for the project, as well as project specific reports and procedures.
  • Gap analysis of client’s Quality requirements applicable to engineering, design and field construction as a well as other third-party stake holders.
  • Interface with Client for audits or inquiries, as well as ensure that all client requirements are adhered to during the project.
  • Verify compliance with all applicable regulations and interface with regulatory agencies, as required.
  • Assist in managing QHSE databases to update and monitor trends highlighting action that needs to be taken
  • Champion lessons learned facilitation. Ensure communication throughout the organization in order to mitigate or eliminate negative impact on future projects or reinforce positive experiences
  • Participate and/or spearhead the QHSE steering committee to promote, engage and communicate a healthy company culture.
  • Position may require travel based on project needs or corporate assignments.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Quality for all phases of a construction projects with emphasis in pipeline, power, oil, and/or gas projects.
  • Knowledge of effective standard quality practices including experience in nondestructive examination, fabrication, and documentation reviews.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with emphasis on critical-thinking and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Ability to operate under deadlines while maintaining strict adherence to internal and external requirements.
  • Operate and perform all assigned duties while championing safe and ethical behavior in line with the company core values.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent years of experience
  • Previous certifications in related industry practices such as ISO, NACE and nondestructive examination are preferred
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Suite of products including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.


Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Frequent sitting and operating a computer.
  • Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or office materials.
  • Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
  • Physical demands requirements are at levels of those for sedentary work.
  • Ability to travel as required for meetings with client (s), other parties, or site visits that may require overnight stay.
