Project Manager
A Project Manager (PM) with Asplundh Engineering Services will be responsible for overseeing, supervising, planning, and coordinating the management of specific project tasks. The project manager will coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, outside consultants/vendors agencies, and the general public. A hybrid schedule will be required at assigned regional client locations.  
 
 
Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple projects with varying team members 
  • Work with Clients, Business Development Staff, Managers and Engineers to coordinate project designs 
  • Work with existing clients and new prospects to identify business opportunities 
  • Prepare engineering, equipment and EPC proposals and fee estimates 
  • Prepare management reports for internal and external use 
  • Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and personnel 
  • Provide technical insight for alternate solutions to projects and project execution 
  • Utilize basic engineering principles and practical design solutions for scope development 
  • Quality control of projects managed and peer review if required 
  • Manage billing of projects and coordinate with AP/AR 
  • Time management to deliver projects on time and within budget 
  • Work with sub-consultant(s) to coordinate trades 
  • Lead project meetings, attend onsite job meetings, & coordinate activities as required 
  • Performs other project management related duties as assigned 
  • Complete and submit weekly paperwork (e.g. Timesheets, Expense Reports, etc.) 
Minimum Requirements/Experience:
  • Ability to work accurately, with attention to detail 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Outstanding initiative, well-organized, and strong sense of responsibility 
  • Demonstrate experience in coordinating and leading teams 
  • Excellent computer knowledge and advanced skills using Microsoft Office applications are required 
Certifications:
  • Background check clearance
  • Valid driverโ€™s license
  • First Aid/AED
  • OSHA 10
Education & Experience:
  • University degree, or related electrical engineering, electrical construction, technical operations or project management training and / or experience specific to electrical projects is preferred 
  • One to five years of experience 
License & Certifications: 
  • PMP certification is desired, but not required
