Construction Quality Control Manager - Healthcare GTMO

Advance your career with RQ Construction as a Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) supporting a large-scale ambulatory care and dental clinic project located at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. This role is part of our Field Operations team and requires on-site participation.

Compensation & Overseas Benefits
This position offers a salary range of $130,000–$160,000, along with a comprehensive international assignment package. Basic Requirements
Applicants must have prior experience as a Quality Control Manager on healthcare construction projects, be willing to relocate to or spend extended periods working in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and possess a valid passport.

Position Overview
The CQCM is responsible for developing and administering a project-specific quality control plan. This includes ensuring all work complies with contractual standards, maintaining timely and accurate documentation, coordinating quality activities across the project team, and fostering strong client relationships-all while reflecting RQ's core values.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in commercial construction (or equivalent), including roles such as Superintendent, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or QC Manager
  • At least 2 years of direct experience serving as a Quality Control Manager
  • Active USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractor certification required; RMS/QCS knowledge preferred (training available)
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year program (Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field preferred)
  • Specialized inspection certifications and licenses are highly desirable
  • Previous work on medical or healthcare facilities strongly preferred
  • LEED Accredited Professional (AP/AP+) or Green Associate credentials are a plus
  • Required certifications include EM 385-1-1 Level 1, CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour (training available if needed)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications required
  • Familiarity with construction management software such as Viewpoint/Vista and RMS/QCS preferred
