Requirement/Must Have:

  • 1+ years of experience in project portfolio management.
  • Relevant professional certification(s) from Project Management Institute (PMI), Scrum Alliance, PRINCE2, etc.
  • Deep knowledge of the principles of project portfolio management.
  • Proficient with agile and waterfall project methodologies.
  • Knowledgeable in service management frameworks such as ITIL or COBIT.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and oversee a standardized project intake process, ensuring requests include required details (e.g., business drivers, scope, costs, risks).
  • Utilize an objective scoring model to prioritize initiatives based on reach, impact, urgency, resource availability, and strategic alignment.
  • Maintain a centralized project backlog to refute informal prioritization.
  • Work with business units to ensure project proposals capture business context, strategic alignment, and realistic expectations.
  • Manage cross-project dependencies, constraints, and cross-team coordination among IT and business contributors.
  • Facilitate meetings, gather documentation, and participate in other project activities as needed.
  • Track project performance, including timelines, budgets, deliverables, and risks across all projects, reporting to IT leadership, steering committees, or business stakeholders as directed.
  • Assess and maintain alignment of IT projects with department and/or enterprise strategies.
