Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a Civil Project Manager to assist with our projects in Detroit!
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage civil engineering projects from concept through construction, including site development, roadway, utility, stormwater, and infrastructure improvements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for municipal and private-sector clients
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, and risk management
  • Prepare and oversee the development of engineering reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including planning, environmental, surveying, and construction services
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations
  • Lead meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders
  • Provide technical oversight, mentorship, and professional development for junior staff
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal development and client pursuits
  • Monitor project performance and ensure adherence to quality control standards

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive civil engineering experience, including:
    • Civil site development
    • Municipal infrastructure (roads, utilities, stormwater systems)
    • Private development and infrastructure projects
  • Proven experience in project management within a consulting environment
  • Strong understanding of permitting processes and regulatory coordination
  • Proficiency with civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D)
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
