The Planning Manager is an integral part of the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning process. This role is responsible for working with Corporate Forecasting and translating forecasts for the planning and execution of production, inventory, distribution and financial requirements. This role is responsible for significant step function changes in improvements in customer service levels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Supply Chain Specialists responsible for FG purchasing, shipment tracking, inventory receipt, and ancillary support purchasing.
  • Lead the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SI&OP) process and clearly communicate key supply chain metrics to the Executive Team each month.
  • Work with product management to understand New Product Introduction (NPI) and end of sale product transitions to seamlessly phase-in or phase-out while mitigating risk (e.g., resources, inventory, and financial liability).
  • Orchestrate supply forecasts within a cross-functional team to meet revenue targets and upside opportunities.
  • Facilitate MRP improvements within the existing platform and represent Supply Chain and Manufacturing in enterprise-wide Planning improvements.
  • Partner with logistics and operations counterparts to consistently evaluate FG storage requirements across multiple warehouses.
  • Ensure planning capabilities support maximum efficiencies and lowest cost of operation through systems utilization and process improvements.
  • Coach and mentor team to improve engagement and establish communication channels between the cross functional teams.
  • Act as SAP Super User within functional area as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or Operations;
  • 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Planning, or other related experience;

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA preferred;
  • Experience using SAP or equivalent ERP required;
  • Experience with external manufacturing preferred;
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to prioritize multiple complex projects and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thorough understanding of company products and logistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
