We are seeking a Senior Alliance Manager, Project Management-an experienced leader with strong people-management capabilities, strategic thinking, and a proven ability to develop talent. This role reports to the Senior Director of Project Management and serves as a peer to the PMO Manager, leading a team of Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Associate Project Managers to deliver excellence across aseptic manufacturing, technology transfers, and new product launches.

Essential Job Functions


Strategic Ownership of Portfolio Outcomes: Own the end-to-end health of the client portfolio, translating business objectives into clear priorities, measurable success criteria, and an execution roadmap for the PM team.

Team Leadership & Talent Development: Lead, coach, and develop Associate Project Managers through Senior Project Managers; set expectations, provide feedback, and build a high-performing, accountable team.

Portfolio Governance, Communication & Executive Readiness: Lead governance rhythms (including Operational Steering Committee preparation and facilitation), maintain decision logs and consolidated metrics, and provide best-in-class stakeholder communications that clarify decisions needed, risks, and next steps.

Problem-Solving Mindset, Decision Quality & Positive Action: Drive structured problem solving across complex, cross-functional issues; frame the problem, align on options and tradeoffs, and make or recommend timely decisions with a calm, service-centric, solutions-forward approach that maintains momentum through clear commitments and follow-through.

Proactive Risk, Issue & Change Management: Anticipate risks and constraints, surface issues early, and lead mitigation/contingency plans; ensure changes are assessed for impact and communicated with clear actions, owners, and timelines.

Resource Planning, Capacity Management & Hiring Support: Proactively balance PM capacity and capability to demand; align the right talent to the right work, identify gaps, and support recruiting/hiring actions to protect commitments.

Quality, Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement: Ensure consistent application of project management processes, tools, and templates; implement best practices, standardize ways of working, and improve predictability and delivery performance.

Customer & Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead customer-facing forums (project reviews, business meetings, escalations) and partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Technical Services, Supply Chain, and Business Development to remove barriers and drive outcomes.


Special Job Requirements


Leadership Experience: Minimum 8 years of biotech/pharmaceutical experience with progressive project management responsibilities.

Industry Expertise: Minimum 5 years of experience in injectable drug product development and manufacturing, with a deep understanding of aseptic manufacturing processes, technology transfers, and regulatory requirements.

Management Skills: Proven track record of successfully leading and developing formal or informal teams or mentoring project management professionals, with demonstrated ability to drive performance and foster professional growth.

Project Management Excellence: Advanced knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools applicable to the biopharmaceutical environment, with experience managing large-scale, complex projects.

Customer Focus: Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, with experience in customer-facing roles and managing escalated issues.

Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to senior leadership and external customers.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to make sound decisions in ambiguous situations.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field preferred.


Additional Preferences


Certifications: PMP/PgMP certification preferred, or ability and willingness to obtain certification.

CDMO Experience: Previous experience in contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) environment preferred.

Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FDA, EMA, and other regulatory requirements for sterile injectable products.
