Overview

We are partnering with a well-established commercial flooring contractor to identify a Project Manager responsible for overseeing commercial flooring projects from preconstruction through final completion.

This is a hybrid, client-facing role based in the Tyler, Texas market that requires regular travel to local job sites and interaction with general contractors, architects, designers, manufacturers, and field personnel. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, a solid understanding of commercial flooring systems, and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects while maintaining schedules, budgets, and customer satisfaction.

This opportunity offers the chance to work with a collaborative team while overseeing all aspects of project execution, material coordination, field operations, and client communication.


Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial flooring projects from project award through final closeout
• Review construction documents, project specifications, blueprints, and scope of work
• Establish project schedules, milestones, and delivery timelines
• Process submittals, shop drawings, and project documentation
• Coordinate material procurement, tracking, and delivery schedules
• Communicate with contractors, architects, designers, manufacturers, and internal teams to resolve project issues
• Review special product requirements, lead times, and installation needs with manufacturer representatives
• Prepare and verify material quantities using Measure Square software
• Visit job sites to verify field conditions, measurements, and floor preparation requirements
• Oversee moisture testing in accordance with ASTM 2170 standards
• Track project budgets, timelines, milestones, and financial performance
• Document and manage project scope changes and approvals
• Provide project status reports to management as requested
• Mentor and support field superintendents while coordinating field operations
• Maintain project software and documentation while supporting overall operational success

• Commercial flooring project management experience preferred
