Overview of the Project Manager:

The Project Manager plays a critical role in driving the successful delivery of complex projects within the organization. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing project planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure alignment with strategic business objectives and timely completion within budget. This role requires collaboration across multiple departments and stakeholders within all levels of the organization to manage resources, mitigate risks, and resolve issues proactively. Ultimately, the Project Manager ensures that projects deliver measurable value and support the companyโ€™s growth and operational excellence. This is a hybrid position based out of our Brookfield, WI office on a hybrid schedule with a current in office expectation of 1 day a week.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Project Manager:

  • Lead end-to-end management of one or more projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop and track to detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and maintain transparent communication among stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress and performance metrics; identify and resolve potential issues quickly.
  • Prepare and present regular status updates, stakeholder reports, and project documentation using various MS office tools
  • Serve as the initial escalation point for assigned programs/projects and ensure mitigation strategies are executed effectively.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the project portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with Development Managers, Relationship Management, Finance, Project Managers, and Scrum Masters to ensure consistent communication and results across the organization.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities

Skills and Experience of the Project Manager:

  • 8+ years of experience managing complex projects in a professional setting with experience in finance, wealth management or technology industries preferred.
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Experience in Software Development Life Cycle(s) with either Agile or Waterfall methodologies
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects using structured methodologies.
  • Proven communication for coordinating diverse teams and ensuring alignment.
  • Organizational skills to balance multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Proactive problem-solving to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Proficiency with PM software and financial acumen to support budget tracking is preferred.
  • Experience using tools such as Smartsheet, JIRA and/or similar Project Management tools
  • PMP Certification is a plus.
