Summary:

Provide project management for facility, strategic, R&D, and client-specific initiatives while supporting Project Management Office (PMO) standards, governance, and continuous improvement efforts. Lead projects ranging from tenant fit-outs and renovations to infrastructure upgrades, facility management initiatives, engineering R&D efforts from launch to market, and client or program-based projects. Ensure all work aligns with organizational strategy, operational readiness, and PMO best practices (as outlined by PMI.org). This role includes responsibility for any project assigned by the PMO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Develop/Manage project plans - responsible for defining project charter, identifying stakeholders, communication plans, risk analysis, maintaining issues logs, change order management, constraints, scope, budget, milestones, success criteria and project governance.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams- internal and external to STULZ
  • Oversee CAPEX expenditures, control costs, change orders and create/manage contingencies/plans.
  • Support equipment layout planning, workflow optimization, and material flow design with GC and manufacturing engineering/facilities teams.
  • Lead SAP readiness activities aligned with any go-live and operational start-up- including but not limited to: ensuring master data is created/validated, SAP structures are aligned with build out plan/schedule, resolve any SAP issues impacting operational readiness.
  • Act as primary liaison between GC/onsite construction teams (if applicable) and STULZ internal teams
  • Translate operational requirements from internal/external parties for alignment
  • Drive accountability across stakeholders to meet project deadlines/deliverables.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate risk throughout the project(s).
  • Ensure business continuity during transition phases and go-live environments.
  • Provide Executive level status reporting weekly or daily as requested- on schedule, budget, risks and operational readiness.
  • Present key recommendations to leadership for decision making; proactive management of expectations and alignment.
  • Maintain ISO conformance - validate processes are documented and operational controls are in place.
  • Operational back up to any role on the team
  • Must be available for onsite Frederick MD project management- no remote options are available.
  • Some travel to other facilities and vendors/contractor locations as needed.
  • Support PMO in developing/refining project management standards, templates and methodologies.
  • Assist with project audits, lessons learned, and compliance reviews.
  • Contribute to resource planning and capacity management activities within the PMO.

  • Key Deliverables: A readied facility and/or workspace delivered in alignment with approved scope, schedule and budget; Integrated and system enabled operational processes supporting any/all manufacturing, warehousing and office/business functionality; system enabled workflows; Defined and transitioned business processes/users; provide formal project close out documentation for any PMO assigned project.

Qualifications:

Must have excellent written and verbal skills, organizational astuteness, be able to manage processes, be process improvement driven, provide consistent coaching, and maintain a positive influence on client relationships.

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum Associates Degree in business preferred.
  • PMP preferred- or CAPM and 5 years project management experience. PMP certification is required within 60 days of onboarding.
  • Must have 3-5 years prior experience in project management
  • SAP S/4 Hana experience preferred
  • Advanced PC skills including MS Project, SAC, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and other related software packages preferred.
