Project Manager

Job Location: Jackson, WI - commutable distance from Fond du Lac, WI
Reports To: Director of Operations
About the Role
This company is a full-service refractory contractor specializing in the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of refractory systems for high-temperature industrial processes, serving the steel, foundry, heat treating, petrochemical, power generation, cement, lime, aluminum, glass, and manufacturing industries. The Project Manager serves as the central link between the client, field operations, vendors, procurement, and company leadership, directly influencing project success, profitability, safety, and customer satisfaction. This exempt role operates under limited supervision, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget are executed within contract terms.
What You'll Do

  • Oversee and coordinate projects of varying complexity
  • Prepare and manage project installation plans and job procedures
  • Communicate project requirements between customers, the project team, and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate job status, change, and material flow records; report progress regularly
  • Identify, minimize, and communicate risks; control cost and schedule deviations
  • Oversee procurement of materials, supplies, and services
  • Establish project milestones, analyze costs, and identify causes of delays or low productivity
  • Manage full project execution, including scope, contract terms, cost control, and service quality
  • Oversee change proposals using Excel and other systems
  • Document and maintain project schedule processes
What You Bring

  • Knowledge of Construction Management or Construction Project Coordination
