This opportunity is ideal for someone who can take ownership of project planning, financial performance, scheduling, procurement, field coordination, customer communication, and successful project delivery. You’ll work closely with Superintendents, Foremen, Assistant Project Managers, engineering, estimating, prefabrication, safety, workforce, and other project stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

• Manage electrical construction projects from planning and startup through execution and closeout.

• Lead project budgeting, cost management, financial projections, scheduling, procurement, production tracking, and progress reporting.

• Develop and maintain project schedules using construction scheduling software and incorporate pull-planning activities into overall project execution.

• Coordinate with field leadership on manpower, planning, scheduling, productivity, and project priorities.

• Manage project correspondence and documentation, including RFIs, PCOs, RFPs, submittals, issues, risks, opportunities, and meeting minutes.

• Review bid documents, contracts, subcontracts, major material purchases, purchase orders, invoices, and change-order requirements.

• Maintain professional client communication regarding project progress, milestones, scope changes, constraints, and issue resolution.

• Partner with project and internal resources to implement quality-assurance strategies and support applicable safety and compliance requirements.

• Support project closeout, including as-builts, O&M documentation, owner training, warranty information, and other required materials.

• Mentor Assistant Project Managers and provide leadership and problem-solving support to project teams.

What You Bring

• 3–5 years of project management or assistant project management experience in commercial and industrial electrical construction.

• Experience managing electrical construction projects valued at approximately $5 million to $15 million or more.

• Knowledge of electrical project management, NEC, OSHA, and applicable safety codes and practices.

• Strong planning, organization, communication, delegation, customer-service, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

• Experience with construction scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.

• Strong overall computer and web-based application skills.

• AccuBid estimating software and remote project management experience are preferred.

You’ll have responsibility for the operational and financial elements that drive successful project delivery while building strong customer relationships and developing other members of the project team.
