The Opportunity

The OX Project Manager is responsible for driving the planning, coordination, and execution of Operations Experience projects from intake through testing, pilot, implementation, and post-launch support. This role serves as the central project lead for OX-led initiatives, aligning cross-functional partners, tracking deliverables, identifying risks, removing barriers, and keeping workstreams on schedule. The position partners closely with OX, Store Enablement, Help Desk, Support, Training, Corporate Communications, business owners, franchise partners, and external stakeholders to ensure projects are clearly defined, well-communicated, and ready for field execution. Through disciplined project management, business requirement support, SOP/documentation governance, and Air Traffic Control Calendar coordination, this role helps ensure operational initiatives are delivered effectively and adopted consistently across stores and support teams.

The role will have regular interaction with internal teams including Operations Experience, Store Enablement, Help Desk, Support, and Corporate Communications. They will also maintain communication with senior leadership to support alignment on strategic initiatives. External interactions include franchise partners, third-party vendors, and other key stakeholders involved in the planning, execution, and communication of OX-led projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project execution during testing, pilot, and implementation phases to help remove project barriers and keep initiatives on track and delivered on time.
  • Write, maintain, and govern OX SOPs and supporting documentation, ensuring content is accurate, current, easy to follow, and aligned with Training and business owners for change readiness
  • Act as a liaison between OX, Store Enablement, Help Desk, and Support teams to maintain the Air Traffic Control Calendar to ensure field teams are informed of upcoming projects and impacts.
  • Assist in developing business requirements documents that define needs, scope, and budget
  • Lead and coordinate communications for OX initiatives across internal teams and external stakeholders, including major incident communications
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations, project management, communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project coordination, operations, process improvement, communications, training, documentation, or field support preferred. Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, managing deliverables, coordinating pilots or implementations, and supporting SOP/documentation governance is strongly preferred.
  • Project management certification such as PMP, CAPM, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or similar certification preferred but not required.
  • Strong project management, organization, and follow-through skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, timelines, risks, and deliverables. Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate operational details into clear field-ready communications and documentation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and experience using project tracking, documentation, communication, and collaboration platforms preferred.
