Supports the core functions of EMC clinical applications to enable cost-effective, high quality, efficient, and safe patient care. This position will implement, administer, and support assigned clinical systems under the guidance of the Information Systems Management team. This position will have a thorough understanding of assigned applications, ancillary systems, and health system operations. This position will address issues and design decisions of moderate to high complexity and deliver clear communication and documentation of complex concepts and issues related to applications, interfaces, data structures, and workflows across the organization. This position also manages software upgrades and maintenance as well as serves as Project Manager for major Information Systems projects. Coordinates application support with other information technology teams including System Admininistrators, DBA, Networking, Reporting, and the Help Desk. Implement changes using documented procedures that are compliant with department's policies and procedures. Provide solutions to work orders, trouble tickets and projects for assigned departments

Essential Responsibilities

1.Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.2.Acts as a liaison between assigned departments, clinical end users and I.S. technical personnel.3.Assists in the coordination and maintenance of all current systems for assigned departments and troubleshoots issues and documents for vendor resolution.4.Support the departments and staff during, and post implementation, of assigned applications/systems.5.Provides at the elbow support for providers and end users as needed during and after clinical system upgrades.6.Analyzes current systems and processes in order to identify opportunities for improvement in patient care, provider productivity, financial outcomes and ancillary relations or cost savings.7.Identify and assist with planning for, and developing, department-specific requirements for future product acquisitions.8.Performs written and oral project status reporting on a regular basis as requested.9.Communicates with IS staff members, vendors and users, and facilitates communication between these groups to identify system needs, modifications, and/or issues. Works with these groups to reach resolution of issues, define necessary modifications and dEvelop solutions.10.Analyzes user-requested programming changes, documents requests, facilitates communication between users and IS staff.11.Works with vendors to determine, review and document acceptance of system changes. Facilitates communications between IS personnel and vendor representatives.12.Provides technical assistance and support to expert users.13.Follows Project Management Office (PMO) guidelines on all projects. Utilizes all PMO tools provided to manage and communicate project tasks and issues.14.Trains and assists other in utilizing PMO tools and methodologies.15.Takes initiative to share information regarding healthcare informatics or regulatory requirements with other team members.16.Takes advantage of available resources to stay informed of current developments and trends in healthcare informatics, information security and regulatory compliance.17.Assures that all necessary documentation (i.e. procedures, processes) is properly completed.18.Update all service requests on a monthly basis and communicate updates to the requestor on a monthly basis.19.Ensures that email and voice mail indicate unavailability with alternative contact when out of office.20.Assume administrative tasks to support management as requested. 21.Perform other duties as assigned.
