*Candidates must be located in Central or Eastern times zones. Requires up to 25% travel.
Howard Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead technology projects from inception to completion. You will independently oversee projects delivered by Howard Consulting Engineers, Howard Technicians, and subcontractors, ensuring they meet stakeholder expectations, budgetary constraints, and profitability goals.
Responsibilities
  • Project Management:
    • Lead projects following Howard's Professional Services Project Management Methodology.
    • Define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
    • Manage status reporting, budgeting, documentation, and risk mitigation strategies.
    • Hold project teams accountable for delivering quality results.
    Stakeholder Coordination:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with all project stakeholders.
    • Ensure project deliverables align with stakeholder expectations and business objectives.
    • Act as a Howard steward for quality, ensuring customer satisfaction.
    Budget Responsibility:
    • Own and monitor project budgets, ensuring expenses and invoices are accurately tracked and approved on time.
    Scope & Change Management:
    • Validate project scope, estimates, and actively manage risks or scope changes that may impact project delivery.
    • Demonstrate ability in negotiating small changes and solving problems that might impact the project.
    Resource Coordination:
    • Assist in identifying and scheduling resources while optimizing billable hours.
    • Be accountable for project results while holding the project team to the same standard.
    • Support timecard approvals, expenses, and invoice submissions.
    Problem-Solving & Communication:
    • Develop and maintain project documentation, including communication plans, schedules, and executive status reports.

  • Qualifications:

    • 3-5+ years of project management experience in the technology sector.
    • Experience leading projects in at least one Advanced Technology solution area.
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Office).
    • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
    • Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.
