Job description

Are you a detail-oriented construction professional with a strong background in quality control and federal compliance? Our client, HHI Corporation - a growing federal-focused construction firm with an opportunity in Ogden, Utah - is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Control Manager to lead quality assurance efforts and ensure all construction activities meet contract, regulatory, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

In this critical role, you will lead all Contractor Quality Control (CQC) activities, including reviewing and approving submittals to ensure materials and installations meet contract specifications prior to owner submission. You will interpret construction drawings and specifications and apply them on-site to verify work is installed correctly. The position requires identifying and correcting deficiencies, coordinating third-party testing, and maintaining quality documentation. You will also mentor field teams and collaborate with stakeholders to maintain compliance and project progress. This is a fully on-site role requiring consistent, reliable jobsite attendance.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management, along with 10+ years of construction experience, including at least 4+ years serving as a Quality Control Manager preferably in federal, commercial, industrial, or heavy civil construction, with federal project exposure a plus. Experience managing multi-million-dollar projects is strongly preferred. Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and RMS/QCS systems is preferred. Preferred certifications include OSHA 30, EM385-1-1, and Construction Quality Control for Contractors (USACE). The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent documentation and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with project teams and government representatives.

Salary Range: $90,000-$120,000 DOE
