Assistant Industrial Construction Project Manager - Materials Processing - Base Salary to 130k/year - Naples, FL

  • Our client, a leading materials processing organization, is seeking an Assistant Industrial Construction Project Manager to support the planning, execution, and successful completion of greenfield industrial materials processing facilities. This position partners closely with the Project Manager to coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup activities for new industrial processing plants throughout the United States.
  • The ideal candidate will possess an engineering background and experience supporting Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) capital projects within heavy industrial environments including materials processing, recycling, aggregate, mining, bulk material handling, or similar process manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning, execution, and completion of greenfield industrial processing facility projects from concept through commissioning
  • Assist with facility planning, process engineering, equipment selection, process equipment integration, and plant layout coordination
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup activities throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate permitting activities, regulatory inspections, and project documentation to ensure compliance
  • Track project schedules, budgets, milestones, capital expenditures, and overall project progress
  • Obtain vendor quotations, evaluate supplier proposals, and assist with equipment and contractor selection
  • Monitor project costs, review invoices, purchase orders, and budget tracking
  • Coordinate construction activities while communicating project updates between engineering, construction, operations, contractors, suppliers, and vendors
  • Maintain project documentation, schedules, reports, RFIs, submittals, and project records
  • Travel to project sites throughout the United States as needed (approximately 50%)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • 3+ years of experience supporting industrial capital projects
  • 3+ years of experience within materials processing, recycling, mixed waste, aggregate, mining, bulk material handling, process manufacturing, or similar heavy industrial environment
  • Robust understanding of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project execution
  • Experience supporting greenfield industrial facility or plant construction projects
  • Experience coordinating multiple vendors, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and project stakeholders
  • Experience with project scheduling, cost tracking, budgeting, procurement, and project documentation
  • Must be willing to travel to project sites as needed (approximately 50%)

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 120k - 130k/year range
