Overview: Our client is seeking a senior-level IT Project Manager to lead large, complex technology initiatives that deliver meaningful business value across the organization. This role requires a strategic project leader who can operate with a high degree of autonomy, navigate ambiguity, proactively identify risks, and drive successful outcomes across cross-functional teams. Projects will primarily focus on software implementations, including both commercial off-the-shelf solutions and internally developed applications, while also supporting broader technology initiatives as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for a forward-thinking project manager who is passionate about innovation, continuous improvement, and leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate multiple complex IT projects and programs with significant organizational impact.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, governance documentation, and delivery roadmaps.
  • Manage projects through the full lifecycle, from planning and requirements gathering through implementation and project closeout.
  • Anticipate project risks, dependencies, resource constraints, and issues, implementing mitigation strategies before they impact delivery.
  • Partner with business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to align priorities and drive successful outcomes.
  • Facilitate project governance activities and ensure clear communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Deliver executive-level status reporting, project updates, recommendations, and decision-support materials.
  • Present options, tradeoffs, risks, and solution paths to support informed decision-making.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, and innovative approaches to project execution.
  • Explore opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve project delivery and business outcomes.

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of seven (7) years of project management experience supporting technology initiatives, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least three (3) years leading information technology projects and programs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex, cross-functional technology initiatives.
  • Strong project leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working within enterprise PMO environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Planner, or similar platforms.
  • Experience managing software implementation projects, application development projects, or enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Familiarity with project governance, budgeting, risk management, and executive-level reporting.
  • Experience utilizing Lean methodologies, continuous improvement practices, or strategic planning frameworks is a plus.
  • Interest in or experience leveraging AI and automation tools to improve business processes and project execution.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proactive leader who consistently identifies risks, dependencies, and opportunities before they impact project success.
  • Solutions-oriented professional who brings structure and clarity to complex situations.
  • Comfortable making informed decisions in fast-paced environments, even when all information is not immediately available.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to align technology initiatives with organizational objectives.
  • Naturally curious and eager to explore innovative approaches, emerging technologies, and AI-driven solutions.
  • Strong collaborator who can build relationships across technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.
  • Takes ownership of outcomes and drives projects to successful completion with minimal oversight.
  • Thrives in dynamic environments where adaptability, initiative, and leadership are valued.
