Job description

About Cornbread Hemp
Cornbread Hemp is a Kentucky-based CBD company on a mission to make the highest-quality, full-spectrum hemp products in the world. We're a small, passionate team rooted in transparency, craft, and a genuine love for the plants we grow. Our products are trusted by hundreds of thousands of customers - and we're just getting started.
We're looking for a sharp, hands-on Ecommerce Manager to help us grow our direct-to-consumer website and Amazon presence. This is a role for someone who loves rolling up their sleeves, thinks analytically, and cares deeply about the customer experience.
Role Overview
As our Ecommerce Manager, you'll own the day-to-day performance and strategy across our DTC website. You'll work closely with our brand, creative, web and operations teams to drive revenue, improve conversion, and deliver a best-in-class shopping experience.
This is a high-ownership role. You won't just maintain what exists - you'll identify opportunities, propose solutions, and drive them to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Website & Customer Experience
  • Own the DTC website (Shopify) - including product pages, collections, navigation, and on-site merchandising.
  • Monitor and improve key conversion metrics: add-to-cart rate, subscription opt-in rate, checkout completion, bounce rate, and average order value.
  • Partner with design and copywriting to build and test high-converting landing pages and PDPs.
  • Lead A/B testing initiatives across product pages, homepage, and checkout flows.
  • Ensure a seamless, on-brand experience across desktop and mobile.
  • Coordinate with development resources for site updates, new features, and bug fixes.
  • Maintain site health: uptime, page speed, broken links, and technical SEO fundamentals.

Reporting & Analytics
  • Build and maintain dashboards tracking ecommerce KPIs across channels (revenue, traffic, conversion, ROAS, TACOS)
  • Deliver weekly and monthly performance recaps with clear insights and recommendations
  • Use data to prioritize initiatives and make the case for resource investment

Qualifications
Required
  • 5-7 years of ecommerce experience, ideally with a DTC brand in CPG, health & wellness, or food/bev
  • Hands-on Shopify experience - you know your way around themes, metafields, apps, and the admin
  • Experience at a brand with a subscription component (Skio, Recharge, Stay, etc.)
  • Comfort with analytics tools: Google Analytics (GA4), Shopify analytics, etc.
  • CRO experience - formal testing programs, hypothesis frameworks, or work with tools like Optimizely, Visually, Shoplift, etc.
  • Strong project management skills - you're organized, follow through, and keep things moving
  • Excellent written communication; you can clearly explain data and ideas to non-technical teammates

Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of the hemp/CBD regulatory landscape
  • Knowledge of health & wellness, food/bev, supplements, etc.

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • Full benefits package - 401k, health, dental, and vision
  • Generous product allowance (yes, really)
  • Remote-friendly with flexibility; we're headquartered in Louisville, KY
  • A small, collaborative team where your work visibly matters
  • The chance to help build something you're genuinely proud of
