Job description

Overwatch Construction Management is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee and manage transit/transportation construction projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will coordinate with various stakeholders, manage project schedules, budgets, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role involves collaboration with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure high-quality project outcomes.

Salary Range: $205,000-$220,000

Project Start Date: July 1, 2026

Project Duration: 24 months

Full-time, on-site position.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development and implementation of work packages and task orders.
  • Provide direction and input on projects. May act as project owners's primary representative on a project, establish standards for meeting minutes, records, etc. and ensure that Consultant staff meet relevant requirements.
  • Facilitate coordination with client and regulatory agencies (Planning, FTA, SHPO, EPA, etc.) as appropriate.
  • Coordinate messaging plan, notices, contingency planning and other tasks as needed.
  • Support and ensure compliance with sustainability/certification requirements and ensure documentation by project consultants, contractors and client
  • Oversee day to day project activities.
  • Lead project planning sessions and coordinate project activities.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, resources, and budget effectively.
  • Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on project progress and performance.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
  • Maintain thorough documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct project reviews and create detailed reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience managing construction projects, preferably on transit/transportation projects
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, safety regulations, and building codes.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proven ability to lead a team and manage cross-functional communications.
  • Familiarity with project management software tools.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relevant Professional Licensure &/or Certifications including include LEED, Envision, PE, PMP, AICP, etc. are strongly preferred.
