Job description

Tidal Construction Group LLC ("Tidal") is a fast-growing commercial construction company seeking a Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of commercial construction projects across South Florida. Tidal serves the East Coast from West Palm Beach through Miami and operates a Tampa office on Florida's West Coast.

The Project Manager is accountable for complete management of assigned projects from estimating turnover through closeout, including contract administration, project controls, scheduling, procurement, financial management, quality, safety, owner communication, and subcontractor coordination. Assigned projects typically range from $2M to $10M; larger or concurrent assignments may be required based on business needs.

This is a primarily office-based role with regular jobsite presence. The Project Manager is expected to visit active projects at least weekly and more frequently when milestones, project conditions, client needs, or field-support requirements warrant.

Requirements

Project Leadership and Execution

  • Own assigned projects from estimating turnover through closeout in accordance with the contract documents, Tidal standards, approved budget, schedule, and client commitments.
  • Lead RFIs, submittals, procurement, owner and subcontractor change orders, pay applications, project financial setup, and closeout documentation.
  • Partner closely with the Superintendent to ensure field execution aligns with the contract documents, look-ahead plan, critical path, quality standards, safety requirements, and financial plan.

Project Controls, Schedule, and Financial Management

  • Develop and maintain a logic-driven master schedule, weekly updates, critical-path analysis, two-week look-ahead, procurement log, and constraint log; update immediately when a material change affects the plan.
  • Identify schedule risks before they become delays and lead practical recovery planning with the Superintendent, subcontractors, design team, and owner.
  • Maintain reliable RFI, submittal, procurement, issue, decision, change-order, and action-item logs so the team always has an accurate view of project status.
  • Perform monthly cost-to-complete forecasting and immediately report projected buyout, cost, fee, cash-flow, or margin variances, with recommended corrective action.

Communication, Urgency, and Solution Ownership

  • Maintain a no-surprises culture with owners, architects, subcontractors, Superintendents, and Tidal leadership. Communicate material risks before they affect the critical path, budget, quality, safety, or client relationship.
  • Lead OAC and coordination meetings with a clear agenda, defined owners and due dates, and timely follow-through; distribute complete meeting minutes and action items within 24 hours.
  • Escalate material risks immediately with a concise, decision-ready update stating the current condition, impact, responsible party, immediate next action, recommended solution, required decision, and committed due date.

Benefits

  • Compensation: $95,000 - $125,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Incentive Compensation: Annual and project bonuses tied to performance.
  • Schedule: Tidal values sustainable workloads and work-life balance. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday; however, Project Managers must remain responsive to urgent project needs, critical milestones, owner issues, and time-sensitive field conditions when they arise.
  • Benefits: 401(k) with 100% matching, medical, dental and vision coverage, paid time off, paid public holidays, monthly team offsites, training and development, and an employee referral bonus.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM TIDAL

A meaningful opportunity to lead high-visibility commercial projects, grow professionally within a fast-growing organization, and work with a hands-on team that values accountability, initiative, sound judgment, and effective problem-solving.

EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Tidal Construction Group LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and provides employment opportunities without regard to any status protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
