We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Scheduler to join our team at K&A Power Group in Hartford, Connecticut. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. Role Expectations:

  • Ability to independently develop schedules on behalf of Owner within the framework of Ownerโ€™s operating processes including adherence to standard Work Breakdown Structures and activities
  • Working with the team to develop, manage and maintain Oracle Primavera P6 schedules for all assigned projects
  • Working with all stakeholders to update and maintain schedules
  • Developing the Baseline Schedule to provide the means to compare actual progress against the baseline plan
  • Reporting on upcoming milestones and key performance indicators (KPIs) to Owner management
  • Alerting project managers of project activities that may be in jeopardy of falling behind
  • Applying logic ties within the schedule and maintaining key milestones and activity codes Developing scheduling reports in P6 and reviewing and analyzing back-up documentation for accuracy
  • Support Project Controls reporting and dashboards
  • Scheduler has no authority to direct field work
  • Support the integration and use of project controls systems, such as E-Builder
  • Promote a proactive safety culture by encouraging open communication, reporting unsafe conditions, and suggesting improvements to safety practices.

What weโ€™re looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or Construction Management or related discipline preferred
  • 8+ years of Project Management Scheduling concepts
  • Responsible for Planning & Scheduling activities for large, complex engineering and/or
    construction projects.
  • Understand and manage projects from concept to complete.
  • Strong knowledge using Oracle Primavera P6: 6+ years P6 Project level Scheduling
  • Required experience in Excel, Power BI, and E-Builder
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering design, construction, estimating, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Power utility industry construction/maintenance project experience (Substation, T&D focus)
  • Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools.
  • Ability to work in concert with clients, ability to keep client satisfaction a top priority.
  • Deadline driven, able to handle pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Self-motivated & require minimum supervision.
  • Willingness to grow, learn, lead, and develop/expand business.
  • Understanding level of cost controls skills
  • Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility setting

Pay Range: $115,000- $130,000/year
