Job description

Assistant Project Manager – Building Development & Maintenance

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Assistant Project Manager to assist with building development, construction, tenant buildouts, site work, and ongoing property maintenance for our commercial and residential portfolio.

This is a full-time position requiring someone who can work independently, troubleshoot building issues, and coordinate effectively with our Maintenance Supervisor and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with commercial and residential construction and development projects.

  • Coordinate and assist with tenant buildouts, renovations, and site work.

  • Respond to building issues involving HVAC, power outages, drainage, plumbing, and general maintenance.

  • Assist with construction labor and hands-on building maintenance when necessary.

  • Monitor projects and provide regular updates and feedback to the Maintenance Supervisor.

  • Work independently and identify issues requiring immediate attention.

  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other trades as needed.

  • Primarily service three large mixed-use properties in Rochester and a multi-family property in Farmington, with occasional work at an industrial property in Syracuse.

  • Be available to assist with occasional weekend or after-hours building issues when required.

Qualifications

  • Previous construction, building maintenance, or project management experience.

  • Working knowledge and experience with HVAC and general building systems.

  • Hands-on construction experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

  • Dependable, organized, and able to work independently.

  • Good communication and follow-through.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

  • Ability to travel between properties as necessary.

Compensation

$30.00 per hour | Full-Time | Benefits
