Reporting to the VP, Commercial Acquisition & Retention, the Manager of Power Generation is a player-coach leader responsible for both shaping and executing the propane power generation strategy across North America while directly contributing to business development and revenue growth.

This role blends strategic leadership, team development, and individual sales accountability, requiring a leader who can build the market while actively winning business. The Manager will develop and lead a high-performing team, while also maintaining direct ownership of key opportunities, partnerships, and customer relationships.

What you’ll do:

Strategy & Market Leadership

  • Develop and lead the North American propane power generation strategy, with a strong focus on market expansion and growth
  • Identify and capitalize on emerging market opportunities, industry trends, and regulatory dynamics
  • Provide forward-looking insights and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Establish a clear go-to-market (GTM) approach aligned with corporate growth objectives

Player-Coach Leadership (Team + Personal Production)

  • Lead, coach, and develop a small team of Power Generation Specialists and SMEs
  • Act as a hands-on contributor, directly managing and closing key strategic opportunities
  • Maintain a personal pipeline and revenue target, contributing meaningfully to overall team performance
  • Provide active deal support, coaching, and mentorship across the sales lifecycle
  • Build team capability in technical knowledge, sales execution, and customer engagement

Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Own and drive new business acquisition and market penetration within propane power generation
  • Develop and execute account strategies for key customers and target segments
  • Build and expand a network of OEMs, distributors, packagers, and strategic partners
  • Lead and participate in complex negotiations and commercial agreements
  • Represent the organization as a thought leader and industry expert at key events

Sales Execution & Performance Management

  • Accountable for team and individual revenue targets, pipeline health, and conversion rates
  • Drive a culture of high performance, accountability, and disciplined funnel management
  • Champion Salesforce (SFDC) adoption, forecasting accuracy, and KPI tracking
  • Continuously improve sales processes, tools, and rules of engagement

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with Operations to ensure execution excellence and customer satisfaction
  • Partner with Marketing to align campaigns with growth priorities
  • Work with Finance to optimize profitability, pricing strategies, and ROI
  • Foster strong alignment across regional sales teams to drive lead generation and opportunity development
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of leadership experience, ideally in a hybrid player-coach role
  • 5+ years of experience in power generation and/or energy-related sales
  • Strong familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and structured sales processes
  • Proven track record of personally driving revenue growth while leading teams
  • Experience building and scaling new or emerging business segments preferred 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical and business value to diverse audiences
  • Strong presentation skills, including delivering pitches, proposals, and project updates
  • Demonstrated strength in negotiation, proposal development, and deal closure within commercial frameworks
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and produce high-quality reports, proposals, and documentation
  • High level of ownership and autonomy, with strong decision-making, self-management, and client relationship management skills
  • Valid driver’s license and eligibility to travel in Canada and the United States

Work Location: Preference is for candidates to be within a commutable distance to our office locations in the greater Wayne, PA or Rochester, NY area. However, we recognize that the right talent can thrive from anywhere—fully remote candidates will be considered for the right fit.

The expected annual base salary range for this role is $120,000-$150,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a monthly commission plan with a bridge build-up period. This position may be eligible for other annual bonus payout programs.
