Project Manager

This position is ideal for project managers with Construction or Pipeline experience. This is not an IT related PM.

Position Summary:  

As a Project Manager you will support operations in the organization and planning for the Pipeline Integrity Maintenance team. The Project Manager will work with our Operations Management to coordinate our people and processes to ensure the desired results for our Construction team.

 Key Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Assist the departmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support operations management to deliver construction projects to client.
  • Handles on-boarding of projects into Mondays and manages the departmental SharePoint page.
  • Handles logistics for shipping materials, job supplies, and equipment.
  • Manages hotel accommodations and airfare bookings.
  • Audits employee timesheets and expense reports.
  • Assists the project management team with invoicing and job tracking.
  • Assists with project proposal breakouts and material pricing.
  • Assists with purchasing and permitting as it relates to departmental projects.
  • Helps to ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • May attend industry convention/conference/show.
  • Creates and/or maintains project documentation.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Complexity, Decision-Making, Problem Solving: 

  • Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the department.
  • Acts as a liaison between company, employees, and vendors.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Confidence to STOP work when a problem is immediately identified.

 Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 

  • Knowledge of construction and/or oil and gas job sites and project plans
  • Knowledge of drilling equipment and processes, including cathodic protection, water wells, and ground beds, preferred.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email communication.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with data management environments including databases, cloud-based solutions, and other mobile platform-based systems used for data collection
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
  • Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies.
    Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Management Responsibilities: 

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications): 

  • Three+ years in a similar role in including tracking and planning projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or experience in lieu of education
  • Experience in a customer service focused and safety-first organization.
  • If travel is required: Current Driver’s license with acceptable driving record, preferred.

Environmental/Working Conditions: 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
  • The physical environment for this position requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions in extreme temperatures and weather. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.

Other Considerations/Requirements: 

  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically as business dictates, this will be minimal and short-term.
  • Must meet minimum company requirements to operate a company vehicle and be eligible for coverage under Company insurance program. 
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position may require overtime.
