We are currently looking for a Project Manager/ Sr Project Manager for our Houston, TX office.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As a Facilities Project Manager, the position will be responsible for the planning and execution of midstream pipeline facility projects from the estimating and regulatory filing phase, through engineering, construction, and commissioning of the project.  These projects are jurisdictional to Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and subject to Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA) regulations under 49 CFR Part 192 (natural gas) and 195 (pipeline liquids).  Facilities may include pipeline compressor stations, meter stations, and processing facilities, or liquid pump stations and meter stations or storage facilities for both gas and liquids.     

The individual will be expected to work with various teams internal and external personnel to execute the project within specified budget and schedule constraints including monthly cost and schedule forecasting updates within the company.  They must also be able to provide oversight of key functions including right-of-way acquisition, construction management, and contract conformance and be able to accurately report progress and concerns during regular project updates.  This person should be self-motivated and possess good organization and people skills to manage multiple projects across the pipeline system. 

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years of engineering experience in relevant industries.
  • Experience with development or review of facility P&IDs.
  • Good organization, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, contractors, agency personnel, and the public
  • Ability to travel for a period of 3-5 days for project related activities.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 0-3 years of Project Management experience at an midstream operating company.
  • 0-5 years of engineering experience.
  • Contract execution and conformance experience.
  • Experience preparing and managing project scopes, budgets, forecasts, schedules, and contracts
  • Experience with the design and planning of natural gas or pipeline liquids related facilities and equipment.
  • Experience with FERC and PHMSA or other federal permitting processes.
  • Experience managing environmental permitting for linear infrastructure under NEPA, USACE, USFWS, and state agencies
  • Experience with public relations and ability to represent the company in public meetings, landowner discussions, and agency consultations. 

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

  • PE, PMP
