JOB SUMMARY
At just over 105 years old, Ferguson Construction is both a regional and national design build general contractor with its corporate office located in Sidney, Ohio. Ferguson Construction designs and constructs projects in all sectors of construction: industrial, commercial, healthcare and institutional. Ferguson prides itself on not only providing civil and architectural services, but also being one of the largest self-performing general contractors in the region with over 250 tradesman self-performing concrete, steel erection, masonry, sheet metal and rough carpentry.
The Project Manager leads a team of Superintendents, Project Engineers and Project Administrators to deliver critical projects that are safe, on time, on budget and of the highest quality. Project Managers at Ferguson Construction are the key to operational success and are surrounded by highly motivated and focused teammates.
PROJECT MANAGER'S ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Assist in the pre-construction process
  • Assist and lead the procurement process
  • Generate and manage project schedules and manpower requirements
  • Schedule and lead job meetings and Owner meetings
  • Manage and lead all communication for the project both internally and externally
  • Manage and lead all project information, submittal and rfi submissions.
  • Manage and lead all change event activity.
  • Responsible for the overall financial health of the project including monthly variance meetings held with operations manager and project superintendent.
  • Create and maintain the high standard of trustworthy relationships for subcontractors, suppliers and all internal staff.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's Degree - Engineering, Construction Management or similar technical training/experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a project manager within the construction industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite including MS Project
  • Strong working knowledge of Procore construction management software
  • Strong architectural and civil background along with mechanical and electrical knowledge
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects concurrently
