Position Information:

Job Title: Supervisor - Electric Operations

Locations: Farmington, ME; Skowhegan, ME; or Dover, ME

Salary Range: $106,000 - $132,500

Schedule: On Site - Office

Scope of Work:

Directs and supervises field planning, work planning, service coordination and clerical employees responsible for:

Overseeing the back-office process from design, obtaining pre-requisites for all work orders, preparation of Purchase Requisitions, Planning & Scheduling of all distribution work, and closeout of work orders.


Provide technical support for the operations of the Company's electric T&D system that may involve service work, service administration, field planning, trouble calls, safety process, work order/AE processing, use of SAP WMS, obtaining/expediting construction materials, joint facilities billing, customer billing jobs, and/or storm restoration. Ensures work is completed in accordance with internal and industry standards following approved policies, procedures, safety rules, budgets and in a manner that promotes customer satisfaction.


For integration of all Transmission, Substation, and Distribution Capital, New Customer, Maintenance and Reliability Projects under the responsibility of Electric Operations Central Maine Power. This position has oversight of the overall accuracy and integrity of the master plan and schedule, as well as

adherence to scheduling standards.


For the overall analysis and processing of work and resource assessment across all the Service Centers within the assigned Zone. This position provides guidance with regards to forecasted labor strategy to drive project completion. Guidance includes identification of over allocation of resource type by zone and areas. Identify opportunities for resource sharing and leveraging of existing

labor agreements, and identification of external resources where required.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Supervision of Field Planners/Field Engineers, Analysts of Work Planning, Service Coordinators and Clerical Staff as well as monitoring and coordinating all resources. Balances workload for Field planning and Clerical Staff. Reviews design due dates and re-assign work as necessary. Review completed work orders for feedback and work order accuracy.


2. Responsible for technical support for the construction, operation, and maintenance of all electric facilities in the division. Ensures work is completed in accordance with internal and industry standards following approved policies, procedures, safety rules, budgets and in a manner that promotes customer satisfaction. Resolves customer complaints.


3. Knowledge of company construction standards, rates, field operating

procedures, safety instructions, union contracts, and accounting manuals. Review project designs before and during construction to determine best economic design. Analyze engineering alternatives and provide valid justification for projects. Responsible for managing annual budgets for Electric Distribution.


4. Appraise and approve the work of field planners/engineers and clerks doing design work. Develops employees to enhance professional values and effective performance. Identify and arrange for necessary training.


5. Assist operations with storm restoration efforts.


6. Oversight of the service coordination process to ensure employees are proactively interacting with internal and external customers, including but not limited to, contractors, electricians, customers regarding all aspects of the new service process.

Education & Experience Required:


Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of four years' relevant experience preferred. OR: Associates' Degree with a minimum of seven years' relevant experience or High School/GED with the completion of the relevant progression program and ten years' relevant experience required.
