Job Summary
The Production Manager leads daily factory operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Utilizing the Nordson Business System (NBS Next) and cellular manufacturing principles, this role drives efficiency, flow, and capacity to exceed customer expectations. This role drives engagement in the organization's safety vision-Journey to Zero, the Production Manager quickly addresses issues, implements countermeasures, and fosters a high-performance, customer-focused team culture.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversees daily operations of the production team, facility teams and planner, promoting a strong safety culture through the Journey to Zero program.

  • Manages labor and resources to meet daily production goals and quality standards while controlling costs.

  • Demonstrates strong talent management ability, hires, coaches, and develops team members to build engagement and high-performing teams.

  • Promotes continuous improvement culture by holding regular team meetings to address challenges and implement solutions.

  • Plans and implements improvement projects to boost customer satisfaction, manufacturing efficiency, and profitability.

  • Supports financial goals by working with direct reports and the Operations Director on budgeting, capital planning, cost analysis opportunities, and manufacturing productivity for assigned product lines.

  • Enhances customer satisfaction through strong collaboration with support functions and customer service.

  • Able to quickly identify and correct flow issues within responsible manufacturing site. Leading continuous improvement projects resulting in through-put improvements, shorter lead times, cost reductions and productivity gains across all assembly product lines.

  • Encourages ownermindset accountability by enforcing standardized work and safety compliance.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technology, Business, Engineering or other related field required.

  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years of professional experience in a manufacturing or operations leadership role is required

  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.

  • Experience with an ERP platform(SAP) strongly preferred.

  • Experience with injection molding automated assembly equipment and manual product assembly is preferred.

  • Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing or ISO Certified company preferred
