Job description

SpecPro Professional Services (SPS) is seeking a U.S. National Capitol Region-based Operations and Maintenance Project Manager to support U.S. Federal Protective Service (FPS) offices This position is intended for local hires residing in the National Capitol Region as working on-site is required. This position is contingent upon award of contract.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Performs Build-Out/Reconfiguration Project Management
  • Drafts scopes of work for build-out/reconfiguration projects for the preparation of Rough Order Magnitude (ROM) cost estimates.
  • Oversees planning and execution of build-out/reconfiguration projects, supporting compliance with safety, security, and accessibility standards.
  • Supports furniture layout design, delivery, and installation.
  • Coordinates with GSA, contractors, and Federal Protective Services leadership to ensure project timelines, budgets, and requirements are met.
  • Provides Operations & Maintenance (O&M) project management support to ensure integration and alignment of long-term facilities planning with space and project delivery activities.
  • Supports and tracks budget planning for all occupancies, projects, and services.
  • Maintains the projects and services system of record (e.g., ServiceNow).

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute complex space configuration projects
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities required.
  • Working knowledge of Tririga and ServiceNow is highly desirable.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience and active PMP.
  • Active FAC-P/PM Level II certification within the last 5 years, or equivalent, required.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant degree program is highly desirable.

Work Location:
  • On-site presence in either the Alexandria, VA or Springfield, VA location required five (5) days per week, Monday through Friday
  • Position is intended to be performed within the National Capitol Region with periodic site visits to Federal Protective Services offices, warehouses, or other locations

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform desk work for extended periods, including sitting and using a computer.
  • Reasonable accommodations will be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
  • Requires sufficient vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to perform related tasks.

Work Environment:
  • Primarily operates in a temperature-controlled office setting with frequent use of electronic office equipment.
  • May occasionally visit operational sites, potentially encountering extreme temperatures, airborne particles, fumes, chemicals, or loud noise.
