As the Senior Manager, Operations you will serve as a strategic advisor, operational integrator, and force multiplier for the NAS leadership team. You will help drive organizational priorities, manage cross-functional initiatives, streamline workflows, and ensure the seamless execution of strategic programs. This role requires a high degree of business acumen,  discretion, and leadership capability.

Work Location:

  • This position is 100% on-site located in Bowie, MD. 

In this role you will:

  • Act as a trusted advisor managing leadership priorities, tracking key deliverables, and driving accountability across the organization.
  • Lead the coordination and execution of strategic initiatives and operational improvement efforts across the NAS Sector.
  • Serve as a liaison between business leaders, operating unit leader, functional heads, and program managers.
  • Coordinate talent acquisition and onboarding activities to include tracking open program needs through assignment of workspace.
  • Develop and manage governance processes for operations and program milestone tracking.
  • Support strategy and growth planning efforts, including pipeline oversight and executive-level proposal support.
  • Manage special projects and confidential initiatives with speed, precision, and diplomacy.
  • Proven ability to influence at the all-organizational levels and manage cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; adept at crafting executive narratives and presenting complex information clearly.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree with 12 years of relevant professional experience, or 16 years of relevant professional experience without a degree.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of direct management or supervisory experience leading technical or cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience developing and maintaining trackers, reports, data analysis, metrics, dashboards, formulas, pivot tables, and other project-management reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) programs or National Airspace System (NAS) environments.
  • Experience supporting FAA systems, federal technology modernization initiatives, or other large-scale mission-critical government programs.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Additional certifications such as PMI-ACP, SAFe, ITIL are a plus.

Target Salary Range$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
