Role Overview
Project Manager will lead complex, multi-discipline water/wastewater projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, and risk. The candidate will be responsible for client relationship management, business development (proposals/presentations), and mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities
Project Execution & Delivery Management
  • Deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements and quality standards.
  • Manage all phases of project execution from contract award through final handover and closeout.
  • Monitor project performance against established milestones, deliverables, budgets, and schedules.
  • Drive successful project outcomes while maintaining customer satisfaction nd operational excellence.

Construction & Site Management
  • Lead and oversee all site construction, fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain site construction plans and execution strategies.
  • Assign, monitor, and coordinate construction activities to ensure timely completion of work packages.
  • Ensure construction activities are performed in accordance with approved methods, specifications, and project requirements.

Client & Stakeholder Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project execution.
  • Facilitate project meetings, progress reviews, and status reporting with clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide technical and project-related guidance to customers, contractors, vendors, and project teams.
  • Foster collaborative relationships to ensure alignment on project objectives and expectations.

Resource Planning & Team Leadership
  • Lead, direct, and coordinate internal and external project resources, including contractors, subcontractors, and fabrication personnel.
  • Ensure project teams possess the necessary skills, training, and development opportunities to execute assigned work.
  • Establish performance expectations, workload planning, and milestone-driven objectives.
  • Promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement among project personnel.

Quality Assurance & Control
  • Oversee project quality programs to ensure compliance with contractual specifications and company standards.
  • Conduct or participate in quality inspections, audits, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and supplier evaluations.
  • Verify that all construction, fabrication, and installation activities meet required quality standards.
  • Address quality concerns and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Project Controls & Documentation Management
  • Maintain comprehensive project records, documentation, and reporting systems.
  • Ensure timely preparation, review, submission, tracking, and archiving of project documents.

Risk Management & Operational Planning
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Monitor project execution strategies and adjust plans as necessary to maintain project objectives.
  • Ensure work methods, risk assessments, and mitigation measures are clearly communicated and implemented.

Commercial & Financial Management
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost performance.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and margin enhancement.
  • Manage project variations, change orders, and commercial opportunities.
  • Support financial reporting and ensure project activities align with contractual obligations and profitability targets.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Expertise in water treatment processes, strong communication, and project management software proficiency.
  • 5-8 years of experience in water/wastewater consulting.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
