Job description

Clio is the global leader in legal AI technology, empowering legal professionals and law firms of every size to work smarter, faster, and more securely.

We are transforming the legal experience for all by bettering the lives of legal professionals while increasing access to justice.

Summary:

We are currently seeking a new Senior Project Manager to join our Project Management Office team in Vancouver, Calgary or Toronto.

What your team does:

Clio's Project Management Office (PMO) leads the company's most strategic, complex, cross-functional projects and programs. We work very closely with teams across the entire Clio org and work with roles at all levels. We're the gears that reliably keep projects running on time and keep the business growing.

The PMO sits within the Business Operations department which is focused on driving results for the company through strategic, operational, and data-driven improvements and growth. As a part of the wider Business Operations team, the PMO acts as a key partner in implementing Clio's long-term strategy.

Who you are:

First and foremost you are a person who seeks to build partnerships based on trust. You can work with people at all levels from junior to executive and you are able to meet people where they are. You have a demonstrated strategic mindset and are able to drive strategic decision making and focusing teams on the most impactful work required to achieve business objectives. You are obsessed with bringing clarity to ambiguous situations and you are a problem solver who looks for common sense and human-centric solutions. You are able to see the big picture across a wide canvas of projects, priorities, and teams to identify dependencies, gaps, risks, decisions, and opportunities; and, as such, you are meticulously organized.

What you'll work on:
  • You will lead end-to-end project management for a variety of Clio's most complex cross-functional projects. This could include: launching new product lines, global expansion initiatives, mergers & acquisitions, internal transformation and optimization efforts, and other strategic growth initiatives as required by the business. You are expected to have a deep understanding of what it means to manage complex projects and programs end-to-end using widely recognized best practices. As such, PMP certification or similar is required.

  • You will work closely with functional leaders across the business to develop execution plans that align to Clio's strategic vision and goals

  • You will drive strategic alignment and decision making discussions with project leads and executive stakeholders

  • You will facilitate needs assessments and task scoping with a variety of workstream leaders, and continually test and validate scoping assumptions to make sure that teams are working on the right things to achieve project objectives

  • You will identify and highlight dependencies and facilitate communication and collaboration across cross-functional workstreams; and in doing so, you will remove barriers, track blockers, and mitigate risks

What you may have:
  • An undergraduate degree in an area that involves project management, business, research, leadership, or software development.

  • Project management certification, change management certification, and/or additional project management training - PMP certification is essential

  • 4+ years experience working in project management or adjacent disciplines in a fast growing SaaS/tech company

  • Experience conducting needs assessments, scoping project tasks and deliverables, facilitating decision making alignment discussions, and creating roadmaps and timelines/gantt charts

  • Experience facilitating workshops with groups and coaching individuals

  • Demonstrate a keen interest in improving your craft by using AI

Serious bonus points if you have:
  • People management experience or if you have held any leadership roles

This role is a backfill for an existing position.

What you will find here:

Compensation is one of the main components of Clio's Total Rewards Program. We have developed a series of programs and processes to ensure we are creating fair and competitive pay practices that form the foundation of our human and high-performing culture.

Some highlights of our Total Rewards program include:

  • Competitive, equitable salary with top-tier health benefits, dental, and vision insurance

  • Hybrid work environment, with expectation for local Clions (Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Dublin, London, New York City and Sydney) to be in office min. twice per week.

  • Flexible time off policy, with an encouraged 20 days off per year.

  • $2000 annual counseling benefit

  • RRSP matching and RESP contribution

  • Clioversary recognition program with special acknowledgement at 3, 5, 7, and 10 years

The expected salary range for this role is $105,200 to $142,400 CAD. Initial placement within the range is informed by geographic region, experience, and skillset, with room to progress as impact and tenure grow. Final offer amounts will vary based on candidate profile.
