Project Manager – Manufacturing
Location: Franklin, MA
Pay: Up to $50/hour, depending on experience
Position Summary
The Panther Group is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee customer-driven projects from initiation through completion.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys working directly with customers while coordinating Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales to ensure projects are delivered on time and exceed expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Production, and Sales.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates to both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule.
  • Support New Product Introductions (NPIs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor project progress using project management tools and performance metrics.
  • Build long-term customer relationships through exceptional communication and execution.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives that increase operational efficiency.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Project Management experience in a manufacturing, industrial, electronics, automation, or engineered products environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and relationship management skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner, or similar project management software is preferred.
  • Experience supporting Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), New Product Introductions (NPIs), or manufacturing operations is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kanban, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
