Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects that align with the organization’s strategic objectives. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget by applying a structured project management framework across the full project lifecycle. The Project Manager manages projects of moderate complexity—including systems, technology, regulatory, and process improvement initiatives—while overseeing timelines, resources, risks, and quality outcomes.This position works closely with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to drive project progress, communicate status updates, and resolve issues. A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and customer focus is essential, as is the ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing project needs. The Project Manager operates under the guidance of department leadership and contributes to continuous improvement by identifying efficiencies and incorporating industry best practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Drives the project forward throughout the project management lifecycle.
  • Maintain project documentation, including, but not limited to, system configuration, evaluation score cards, business case, charter, requirements, project plans, training plans, data mapping, system mapping, workflow mapping, communication plan, test plans, test scenarios and testing results, risk assessments, authorization and proposed procedures.
  • Develop, monitor and report on budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
  • Proactively escalate anticipated project delays, budget issues and other potential threats to project.
  • Provide executive summaries of project status to Project Sponsor and/or other key stakeholders and scheduled intervals and significant milestones.
  • Lead and direct the work of others by assigning roles and delegate responsibilities to team members and monitor for completion within set deadlines.
  • Ensure successful project transition and closure responsibilities to team members and monitor for completion within set deadlines.
  • Stay abreast of project management industry and technology trends.
  • Organize periodic celebratory events for project teams at significant milestones or closure.
  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Associates degree OR one to three years of related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have one year or more project management experience involving business or financial analytical experience.
  • Banking, Financial Services and/or related industry preferred.
  • Experience with Information Security and/or IT preferred.

Skills Required:

  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for clear, professional interactions.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines.
