Job description

The Engineering Manager will lead our engineering department in all mechanical projects. This individual will be accountable for the accuracy and performance of our engineering department and their development and improvement.

Duties:
  • Responsible for all engineering and design prepared by staff
  • Manage the full-cycle design and layout of design projects
  • Prepare in-house design and detailed engineering, along with less detailed presentation and conceptual plans
  • Possess knowledge and practice of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems
  • Process required documentation in a timely and accurate manner
  • Serve as the point of contact for outside engineering consultants and vendors
  • Coordinate the weekly schedule of engineering staff with project managers
  • Attend design meetings with clients and partners, along with pre-construction and post-construction meetings
  • Coordinate the weekly schedule of engineering staff with project managers
  • Develop, implement, and maintain engineering standards
  • Mentor, train, and develop staff and evaluate staff performance
  • Manage multiple projects varying in scope simultaneously
  • Display working knowledge of Navisworks, Revit, and AutoCAD
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in construction, mechanical, or other related engineering, along with Professional Engineer licensure
  • 7+ yearsโ€™ experience in construction, mechanical, or other related engineering fields
  • 5 years' experience in a supervisor or manager role, leading a team
  • Driving record meets company requirements
  • Successful passing of pre-employment drug screening required
